BFA has also added a Burlinson YDNA match in England, and a group of family members met with him and some of his family in April 2024 when they traveled to the UK and Ireland. The trip included several stops where the Burleson/Burlison/Burlinson ancestors lived in medieval England.  See the Resources page, Our English Kin.

The Burleson Family Association website provides news, event information, history, public research links, and a members-only archives.

Beginning March 1, 2026, the association will offer a new format for the Burleson Family Bulletin, combining the traditional bulletin with features from the newsletter. The new, online magazine-style bulletin will feature news of interest, recipes, photos, plus several researched articles about Burleson/Burlison families and allied families who have played an important role in the family’s history. The new BULLETIN will be published bi-monthly and offered online only.

The Burleson Family Association is dedicated to preserving the history and memories of the Burleson family through its many lines of descent. Group members and others have worked to find, document, and share the family’s exciting and colorful history. Numerous bulletins, documents, books, and information pages have been written over the years detailing family trees and the stories and adventures of family members. Much of that historical data can be found in our Archives Access section for your research.

New members are always welcome! If you descend from the Burleson family or any of its kindred families, please join us in the BFA. Our members are scattered throughout the United States.
