BFA Biennial Reunion
April 30 to May 3, 2026 Millington, Tennessee
Everyone is welcome, whether you are a member or a guest!
Join your Burleson (all spellings) friends and cousins in Millington, Tennessee, next spring as we celebrate the 250th Birthday of America! It will be part reunion, including a member business meeting, speakers, research reports, meals, an optional field trip, and enjoyment of the city chosen as our host.
Thursday evening, April 30: Registration opens at 6:00 PM, followed by visiting at the hotel.
Friday, May 1: Optional Field Trip or visit Memphis sites of interest. We leave the hotel at 9:15 and will travel to one or two Burlison cemeteries near Burlison, TN. Afterward, we will continue to the Burlison Cotton Gin for lunch and a tour. We are asking for a $20 donation per person who enjoys lunch. After an evening meal on our own, we will gather in the main meeting room and help to set it up for all the Saturday activities.
Saturday, May 2: Speakers, afternoon tea party, games, silent auction, bidding on a special “Burlesons in the American Revolution” quilt created by Kay Burleson, door prizes, lunch, and a 6:30 pm buffet dinner and program. The main meeting will begin at 9:30 AM, with registration open from 8:30 to 9:15 that morning.
Sunday, May 3: Check-out for those staying at our host hotel by 11:00 AM.

Our host will be the Holiday Inn Express, 5090 Copper Creek Blvd., Millington, Tennessee. From here, you can visit Memphis' many sites, sounds, and culinary delights. It is also a short drive to the Burlison, Tennessee area, where we will travel during an optional Friday field trip. The reunion rate, a separate charge from the reunion registration, is $149 + tax for a room with two queen beds. One king bed will be $139 + tax. There is free on-site parking. Breakfast is provided at the hotel. Other food venues are conveniently located nearby. NOTE: The cutoff date for this special rate is April 1, 2026!

A block of rooms has been reserved at the reunion rate from Wednesday, October 29, through Sunday, May 3. Reservations at the reunion rate must be made by April 1, 2026, and are not included in the reunion registration. After this date, all rooms remaining in the block will be returned to the hotel’s general inventory, and the BFA special rate will no longer be valid. Cancellation details will be included in your reservation with the hotel. Event registration options are fully detailed here. The quickest way to register is by clicking the link below. You will provide your contact information, make your selections, and pay by bank card. You may also print a registration form and mail it along with your check payable to Burleson Family Association, 6608 N. Western, #1571, Oklahoma City, OK 73116. No refunds will be issued after April 15, due to catering contract obligations. We will still be happy to accept reservations after that date but check the details below for food and lodging deadlines.
The deadline for registration for which food is guaranteed is April 15. After that date, BFA can not guarantee that we can serve you on Saturday for both lunch and the evening banquet. This is necessary because the caterer must know how much food to prepare by that date. There are several other food venues near the hotel for purchasing food after the required registration deadline.
The deadline for registering at the Holiday Inn Express, Millington, Tennessee, is April 1, 2026. After that date, they cannot honor the BFA special room rates.
The opening activities for Saturday, May 2, begin at 9:30 AM, with registration opening at 8:30 AM. If you plan to attend only the Saturday night, May 2, banquet, please arrive by 6:00 PM CST to register and find your seat. Dinner will be served at 6:30 PM.
